Step-by-Step Guide to Deleting Your Account
If you have decided to delete your user account from our system, follow these simple steps to ensure your data is removed from the system. Please note that account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
1. Log In to Your Account
- Step 1: Visit our website or app and log in using your username and password.
- Step 2: Ensure you are logged in by checking for your profile picture or username at the top-right corner of the homepage.
2. Navigate to Profile Settings
- Step 1: Click on your profile picture or username.
- Step 2: From the drop-down menu, select “Profile Settings.”
3. Locate the Account Deletion Option
- Step 1: Within the Profile Settings page, look for a section titled as “Delete Account” or “Close Account.”
4. Confirm Your Decision
- Step 1: Click on the “Delete Account” button. You may be asked to provide a reason for leaving.
- Step 2: A confirmation dialog box will appear. Read the information carefully as it will explain the consequences of deleting your account.
- Step 3: Confirm your decision by clicking on “Confirm” or “Yes, delete my account.”
5. Verify Your Identity
- Step 1: For security purposes, you may need to re-enter your password.
- Step 2: Some websites might send a verification code to your registered email or phone number. Enter the code as instructed.
6. Account Deletion Process
- Step 1: Once confirmed, your account will be scheduled for deletion. This process might take up to 7 days depending on the website’s policy.
- Step 2: You will receive an email confirming that your account deletion request has been processed.
